I’m Coming For You 2013

Today is the first day of 2013, and I can honestly say that I’ve never been more excited about a year before. Don’t get me wrong – lots of awesome stuff has happened to me in past years, and I am grateful for every bit of it. But there are so many exciting things happening this year that I can’t help but be excited for 2013. Here is what’s got me all a twitter……

Work

As you might have seen on the Facebook, I am now officially self-employed! I have taken on clients to do a mish-mash of things I love: content creation, social media management and strategy….. even a bit of executive admin-ing and event planning! I am working from home, and making my own schedule, which is exactly what I’ve always wanted to do. It’s a big step into the unknown, but I really think I am going to be happy with the change. Plus, I can wear my pajamas a great deal more. You know what that means?? Fancy pajama shopping!! See? No matter what, I’m always a fashion blogger at heart.

Relationship

About a month after we started dating

Today is my nine month anniversary with the boyfriend, and I have to be totally honest; I still pinch myself. I am a firm believer that there is no such thing as “The Perfect Guy.” However, there is what I like to call the “Perfect-For-Me Guy” and I am pretty sure I’ve found him. Jesse and I are just insanely happy together – I almost want to kick my own ass. It’s not just that he’s good to me (though he totally is) ; he’s a genuinely good guy. He’s good to his friends, his family, my family – pretty much everyone! I could not be happier, and I look forward to many many MANY more days and anniversaries with him!!

Writing

I know I always say I’m going to get back to writing regularly; it’s become a common refrain for me! But everything always seemed to get in the way; life, friends, work, family, boyfriend, cleaning, napping…… you get the idea. Well, now that I’m working from home, I am going to make writing a priority again. I will even be writing for Sonsi again this year! I have set up a lot of new things on my blog (social buttons, email list, mayhem and foolishness!) and I need to be more focused about nurturing my site. Plus, it’s more of an excuse to write and talk about clothes

So that’s it for my 2013. I’m not making resolutions or and promises. I just want to focus on and enjoy the great things in my life. These three are just the tip of the iceberg; there’s family, friends, cooking lessons, and my awesome cat – all of which are making my life better and better each and every day. Look out 2013- I’m coming for you!!
