This is the completion of my wedding face care series! You can read the first post HERE, and the second post HERE.
If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, chances are you noticed that I got married over the weekend! Yup, I’m a married woman, and I couldn’t be happier. Adam is the best guy EVER, and I’m so lucky to spend my life with him.
One thing I did to get ready for the wedding was get my face in tip-top shape for all those pictures. I worked with the brilliant professionals at The Piazza Center and my skin underwent an AMAZING transformation!
Hair growth: Greatly reduced. I still see spots of hair, but they are more sparse and take forever to grow in.
Skin: MUCH smoother! The skin feels much softer, and the acne scarring I have is much less noticeable, and almost complete gone in some places. The tone of my skin is much more even, with a big reduction in red blotches and uneven color.
Breakouts: Greatly reduced. I normally have at least one big breakout a month (around THAT time of the month) and a few smaller isolated zits. I’ve had exactly one zit in the past month, and it is much smaller and quick to heal than previously.
Overall, my skin generally looks healthier, smoother, brighter, and more even. I attribute my “bridal glow” to all of the treatments I had done!
DID IT HURT??
The question I got asked the most was “Did it hurt?” When you tell people you did something to your face that includes a rollerball full of needles, they assume it’s painful. But it really wasn’t! Now, I have a pretty high pain tolerance, and it was nothing to me. A topical anesthetic is used, and the overriding sensation I felt was the vibration from the machine. There were a couple of spots that were more sensitive, but I wouldn’t call any of it painful. Plus, Jennifer checked in with me in every new spot she did on my face to ensure that I was comfortable.
The recovery after the microneedling is comparable to a sunburn. Not a major one, just some dryness and tightness for a day or two. My skin did get flaky around day 3/4 but my moisturizer handled it. With my regular makeup and moisturizer/sunscreen, my face looked totally normal.
The HydroFacial was really pleasant, and the redness faded in all of 15 minutes for me…. and I was glowing for a week after! So glad I did this a few days before the wedding!
I really can’t recommend the services and technicians at The Piazza Center enough. Everyone is so sweet and knowledgeable and they treat their clients like family. I highly recommend setting up a consultation with Samantha and seeing what they can do for you. Tell her Cathy sent you!
I’ll be sharing full bridal style photos when they come back from the photographers, but for now, I just want to send a huge THANK YOU to The Piazza Center. I would never have felt so confident in all those wedding photos without the help of their skincare specialists. I will most definitely be back to keep my skin in tip-top shape!!
Disclosure: The Piazza Center is providing discounted and free services for the duration of this series. All experiences, thoughts, and reviews are my own.
