New Shoes For The Fall

UPDATE ON NORDSTROM EVENT: The first event is happening! Scroll to the bottom of this post for information and a link to RSVP.

Now, let’s get to the important stuff: SHOES!! I always get new shoes for the fall, and I’ve had a string of good shoe luck lately. I wasn’t even really looking for shoes, and I’ve found three pairs!! I had to buy/return a couple of pairs, but I finally settled on the perfect additions to my wardrobe.

Fall Shoes for 2016

fall shoes - vans

Gray Perforated Slip Ons – Vans from Nordstrom Rack (same style in red, black, and white)

I saw these on the Nordstrom website a while back, and REALLY REALLY wanted them. But they never had them on the site in my size, and they never made it to my local store. So I just kind of gave up. Then, like magic, they appeared at the Nordstrom Rack when I was shopping with a friend!! I was so excited to find them, even though I had to do some sleuthing to get a pair. The one in the 8.5 box had 2 left shoes – one in size 8.5 Women’s, and one in size 6.5 Mens. I had to go through a few different boxes to get a matching pair of the correct size, and the poor lady working there had to sort out the other three randomly sized/labeled shoes. But I got them!! I wear them all the time. Vans are pretty much my all-time favorite shoes so these will get LOTS of wear.

fall shoes- gold slip ons

Gold Slip Ons – Report from Nordstrom Rack (similar)

I found these on the same shopping trip as the gray Vans, and I felt like I won the shoe lottery! These aren’t Vans (the brand is Report) but they are also super comfy. I wear a lot of gold jewelry, so I like matching my shoes to my earrings. I’m fancy like that. I love wearing a LBD with gold jewelry and these shoes. I can’t wait to pair them with leggings and a sweater when it gets cold for real!

fall shoes- oxfords

Grey Oxfords – Earthies from Nordstrom

So, these are definitely outside of my comfort zone, but I’ve been wanting some menswear inspired shoes for a while. But finding ones that didn’t pinch my toes and weren’t too heavy on my feet was quite a feat…. no pun intended! I found these at the new Nordstrom at The Domain when I was there for my meeting with the store manager, and I was smitten with them. They are solid without being super heavy, and the toe isn’t too pointy. I’ve worn them a couple of times and I really like them. I can’t wait to wear them with pants when it’s cold!

I still have to get my cardi Uggs (yes, I am a basic bitch at heart) but other than that, I feel like my shoe closet is ready for fall. I still have my Frye boots, my gray Sole Society kitten heels, and 2 pairs of wedges! What shoes are you wearing these fall/winter season?

  • Those oxfords are faaaaaaabulous! I have a pair of brogues or oxfords on my shoe wish list as well. I think they’d be cute with skinny jeans and an oversize gray waterfall cardigan. I’d also wear them with a full pleated skirt and cardigan sweater for a schoolgirl-inspired look. Hope you have fun styling them! And you can never go wrong with slip-on vans. I’m more of a ballet flat girl, but it’s the same idea: easy to wear, comfy, and go with everything!
