Plus Size Outfit – Dress and Vest

Sometimes, you get dressed, and you’re like “I’m just trying to cover up my naughty bits so I don’t get arrested. I’m not even trying to be a body positive style start today.” And that’s okay. Every single day doesn’t have to be a trip down the catwalk of your life. And other days? Other days, you magically put together the coolest thing you have ever worn (like this dress and vest), but the sun has already gone down, and you have to get creative to get that shot! Many thanks to my sweet husband for being kind enough to make this picture happen, even though it was super dark outside.

Never in a million years would I have dreamed of pairing this bodycon dress with this utilitarian vest. I’m not a risk taker, and I generally like to be covered up. So I have no idea how this dress and vest pairing even came out of my brain and onto my body. But it did, and I was definitely feeling it. I may or may not have sang an extra saucy version of Bad Liar by Selena Gomez at karaoke that night……

My makeup wasn’t super exciting, but you can almost see my cute bow earrings! I really need to get a better picture of those…..

I don’t get nearly enough wear out of this body con dress (the last time I posted about it was November of 2016!!), and it’s mostly because I’m not comfortable wearing it alone. But during the summer (which is when you wear sleeveless), layers are too hot! I’d love to find a cute kimono to wear over this, but for now, this vest works so much better than I thought. Plus, it shows off my tattoos, which are beautiful and I don’t get to show them off enough. Look for this dress and vest to be in heavy rotation!

Who thinks I need to do a tattoo diary post of all of my pieces? Sound off in the comments!
