My latest plus size outfit post includes my favorite neutral color: gray! I actually prefer it (or navy blue) to black. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a ton of black in my wardrobe, but I’ve been slowly adding some variety to my neutrals. I LOVED this dress when I saw it on Gwynnie Bee, but was a little hesitant to try it. I think other people look awesome in neon, but I’m always worried I’ll look weird. Alas, all turned out well…..
Dress – Asos Curve (c/o Gwynnie Bee) | Shoes – Nine West (a year ago) | Earrings – someone made them for me! | Lipstick – Revlon Color Burst Lacquer Balm in Coquette
I wore this dress to……ummm…… a couple of places. First, I wore it for my step-dad’s memorial service. We interred his ashes at the Rembrance Garden at at church here in our neighborhood and had a very nice little service. It was lovely. Then I wore it to…… umm…… oh yeah! Sunday Soireé! I have a group of friends (about 5-10 of us) that go to dinner together most Sunday evenings. We try lots of different places and it’s always fun. We have to go on hiatus when the Walking Dead is on because a couple of members of the group are HUGE Walking Dead fans. Luckily, it’s the off-season, so we are doing our dinners again.
This dress is sooooooo comfy, and it wears really nicely. At first I was a little concerned about the long-ish sleeves. It’s pretty warm here already, so I usually go with short sleeves or sleeveless. But the material is light and super breathable so they didn’t bother me at all. And I felt totally trendy with my neon yellow and gray.
PS – If you are a size 10 and up, I highly recommend giving Gwynnie Bee a try. You create a closet from their HUGE selection of clothes, and they send them to you to wear! When you get bored (of if you aren’t really into the piece they send) just send it back and get another. It’s brilliant! Plus if you love a piece so much you can’t bear to part with it, you can buy it for a crazy good price. Click HERE to check it out, and if you sign up from this link, you get a free month. Woot!
