Plus Size Outfit – Wedding Guest Outfit

It’s no secret that I love weddings. No, I mean, I REALLY LOVE weddings! I cry at all of them, and I’m just a big old sucker for love. I enjoyed pretty much every moment of my own wedding, and I was stoked to celebrate my cousin’s wedding this past weekend!

Aren’t they the cutest? Jenn looked like a princess!!

Can I just brag about them about it? Okay, cool. Jake and Jenn have been together for like seven years. She’s been a part of the family for quite a while, and she is literally the sweetest human being I have ever met. She fits into our family perfectly, and I am so thankful to officially call her a cousin!

There are many things I love about a wedding, but let’s be real; my favorite part is getting to dress up! I bought this super pretty fall dress (with pockets!!) from Lane Bryant, and I was stoked to wear it to the wedding. I’m not gonna lie, y’all. I was WARM. The dress has 3/4 sleeves and is a pretty heavy fabric. But it was worth it because I found some killer shoes to go with it, and I was not going to let a little (okay a lot) of sweat stand in the way of fashion!

Can we talk about these shoes? THEY ARE SO SHINY!!! I don’t wear heels anymore. It’s just not worth the hassle or the pain. But I wanted something that was dressier than the flats or sneakers that I always wear. These loafers were super comfy, but looked fancy and put together. Also the lug sole is giving me such 90s vibes and I kind of love it. Reliving my glory days!!! (Yes, the 90s were my glory days. Don’t judge.)

I kept my makeup pretty light since it was super warm and I didn’t want to sweat it all off. There’s only so much setting spray can do! I did line my eyes (even though I knew I was gonna cry) and boy did this eyeliner hold up! For $5, you really can’t go wrong. If you are into gel liner, I highly recommend this one! Of course, I can’t do my makeup without my statement lip color. It’s my thing now, and I have so many awesome colors…… how could I not wear a bold lip color??

All in all, I was super happy with my look, even if I was sweating like a whore sinner in church. (Gotta keep it classy, my mom reads this blog!) The best part of the day was getting to see my cousin marry the love of his life, and getting to party with my awesome family!

  • That dress is a great color for a fall wedding, and the shoe choice makes the look totally you! I love weddings too and try to dance all night. I always arrive in heels and can usually stand them for an hour or two on the dance floor. By that point, the wine has usually kicked in, and I keep on wearing them. But I always bring a back-up pair of flats just in case! And yes, I’m a total crier at weddings. Kyle and I can’t even look at each other during the ceremony because we’ll both lose it. We are too sentimental. lol
